An album shoot for the super talented and wildly interesting John Shields!
In my time living at The Temple Recording Studio in Murfreesboro, TN, I got to be a part of an INSANE assortment of ridiculous adventures. One of the more meaningful of those adventures was being able to see John create the album Songs of Defiance from the ground up!
Songs of Defiance is about coming to terms with who you are as an individual. Finding your identity through introspection, family, and creative freedom. The goal of the shoot was to display the lack of gender identity of John and the subjects. Pastel colors, flowers, pronounced features (tears on John, lips on Evan, and eyebrows on Nancy), and a mix of masculine and feminine poses from all what I used to bring out the elements of the album!
